Brochures, Pamphlets, Booklets

and Ad Design: SAMPLE  3

The Wardroom of the U.S.S. Ingersoll (DD-990) needed a way to spread news and information amongst its
Officers and their families.
The solution was a monthly newsletter that had a look that represented the professionalism of it's crew.
Notes were e-mailed to me, and I proceeded to craft them into newspaper-style articles. With a little additional
research, I was able to include a monthly Navy Trivia box, where interesting tidbits of information were featured.
This added to the appeal of the newsletter, and helped get the whole family involved in the ship's happenings.
Before the newsletter, attendance to ship events by families of Officers was sporadic, due to a lack of communication.
Once the newsletter was in circulation, attendance consistently jumped to more than 90%.
Positive recognition was given to myself by the ship's Commander, who added that the Admiral had also become
an avid reader of Wardroom Whispers.
